Description:

Tired of boring meetings which suggest activities that do not seem to work in your classroom?  This novel training event directly addresses your needs!  Educators from your school will meet to discuss ways to form relationships between their school and local universities.  Subsequently, teaching materials are created by participants to compliment their Initiative Science S.O.I.L. programming choices and classroom activities, all while being presented in a “Kaleidoscope” format.  Food and Materials are provided.

At this formal in-service gathering, key decision-makers meet to discuss their science outreach needs and learn ways to better improve their math and science curriculum.  Presentations from I.S. board members and local university professors covering educational leadership strategies compliment the day’s activities.  Food and Materials are provided.

Description:

Initiative Science is launching a new Google Android OS app!  Find out more at the 1st Annual Initiative Science Symposium Event.  Participants will also learn about our 2010-2011 STEM Literacy Initiative!  

A brief tour of the Henry Ford Estate and surrounding areas, along with presentations from I.S. board members will compliment the day’s activities.  Attendees will be chosen to work directly on "Project: Milieux v1.0"  based upon their educational background and availability.  Food and materials are provided at this complimentary event!  

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.  We will be going for a brief 30-minute walk outdoors. (optional, weather contingent)
